I have been working at the practice since April 2010 and have gained a NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing (April 2012).

I am now one of the head nurses, the practice decontamination lead and have training responsibilities. I enjoy being part of the team and helping others to progress, as well as working chairside in surgery.

I enjoy camping trips, days out with friends and family and going to concerts and events.

I am responsible for ordering, stock control and ensuring compliance to  Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).

I enjoy running and attend exercise classes regularly. Recently I have completed my first half marathon to raise money for the charity Heartbeat. I have two daughters and am attempting to teach myself to sew!

BDA Education Certificate in Dental Radiography 2016

I joined the team in April 2011 and trained at Preston College for my Level 2 and 3 NVQ in Oral Health Care:Dental Nursing. I recently obtained my radiographer qualification which means I can now take dental x-rays under the prescription of the dentist.  I am interested in  other educational courses including those in relation to impression taking and oral health education and would like to do these in the future.

I am also a qualified beautician but I prefer to do that in my spare time instead. I enjoy running, going to the gym, taking my dog Elvis for walks and spending time my friends and family.

NVQ Level 3 Dental Nursing & VRQ L3 Dental Nursing City & Guilds, Blackpool, UK 2017

I joined the team in November 2016 as a Trainee Dental Nurse and qualified the following year. I now have responsibility at the practice for ordering all the in-surgery materials and for controlling levels of stock across the practice.

Having got married in 2018, I am now expecting our first baby in May this year so much of my spare time is currently spent sourcing items for our nursery and getting ready for the birth. Whilst I will be taking maternity leave this year, I will be back in 2021.
